Mitch - We just returned from a week long stay at Beaches Turks and Caicos and it was INCREDIBLE. We traveled there as a group of 10 to celebrate my parents' anniversary. My family, which includes me, my husband, and our two boys (1 and 3) were lucky enough to stay in the Caribbean Village suite with my sister and her family of four (including her 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son). I say lucky because the location of our suite was PERFECT - steps from the beach and near to everything else.
Plus, we had a BUTLER for the suite, which helped us coordinate our large group. Dane and Antonio were fantastic at pampering us. Each morning they reserved seats for us at the location of our choice and would provide us with a cooler of beverages and at night they made reservations for our family at the restaurants. That is just the beginning...they would run and get us take out food, delivered all sorts of goodies to the room, on our last day they drew us each a warm bath lined with rose petals, and Dane even endured a sucker punch to the face from my two year old nephew. The accommodations in the suite were perfect for the two families. The bar and fridge were stocked, there was a large living space in between the two rooms and the entire suite was impeccably maintained. Every staff person we encountered on the trip was delightful and attentive. So more importantly, why was this a relaxing trip with kids... there are a couple of reasons. First, Camp Sesame! The ladies who worked there were great - Ms. Ali is one of the best. They took great care of all of the kids and got to know them too. Our youngest has food allergies and everyday I was assured that his experience would be safe. They made nature books, went on treasure hunts, and did activities with the sesame street characters. Second, this is an incredibly kid friendly resort. Many of the pools have zero entry which make it easy to watch your kids as they play in the water and you enjoy a cocktail. Several of the restaurants make it easy for the kids to play nearby while you wait for your meal. There is so much to do and so many different places to play and swim that you and the kids will not get bored at this all inclusive resort. One morning we put the kids in Camp and set sail on the Kitty Kat. What a relaxing and fun excursion. We snorkeled off the boat, anchored at a remote island and found beautiful conch shells and then had some drinks on the way back. An excellent excursion!! A couple of recommendations would be to bring bug spray, look into whether a pair of walky talkies would work to keep your crew in communications with one another, and eat as many chocolate croissants as possible. We booked through Mitch at TripGuy travel and he did a great job directing us and booking our trip. We will definitely be going back....cannot wait! |
